Teaser Tuesday (7)

It's that time again....

"Teaser Tuesday" is a weekly meme hosted by Mizb of Should Be Reading.  Anyone can do it, here's how:
  1. Grab your current read
  2. Open to a random page
  3. Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page.
  4. Share the title and the author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers.
  • Be careful not to include SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away, you don't want to ruin the book for others.)

This week my teaser comes from Wereling by Steve Feasey.  This was a book that I had on my TBR list and thought I'd give it a shot but wasn't expecting too much from because I hadn't heard all that much about it.  Well I've quickly discovered that I should have read this a lot sooner, I'm half way through and I've been on the edge of my seat throughout most of it, tons of fun and although it's different from what I typically go for, I'm really enjoying the change of routine.

Let me know what you guys think...

"'You and I are going in there together,' he said, leaning down to pick up a long fiberglass pole from beside the door."

"'Then you are going to purposefuly transform into a werewolf.  Then you and I, Mr. Laporte, are going to have a little duel, a sparring session, if you will.'"

Like I said, edge of my seat and highly entertaining all at the same time!

  2. Ok that sounds a bit like the sparring session might be more to teach him a lesson!

  4. You guys have to go and get this one, it's different for me because the main character is male and I'm so used to female protagonists in the books I've been reading lately but this has suprised me and I'm really having a great time reading it!

  6. Sounds like a good read! I have to admit that I don't love the cover. Or the name, actually, but I love that it's a male POV, for some reason that's rare and I usually love it!

  9. If you've got room on your TBR list Beth, this is one that's definitely worth reading, I had a lot of fun with it and can't wait to read the others in the series!
