Hitting the Shelves Soon (3)

Since we've reached our mid-way mark in June I've of course been checking my TBR list for future releases that I've been itching to get my hands on, and they can't come out soon enough in my opinion!  These are just a few that I wish were on the shelves, like .... yesterday!

The Candidates (Delcroix Academy, #1) by Inara Scott (8/24)

Dancia Lewis is far from popular. And that's not just because of her average grades or her less-than-glamorous wardrobe. In fact, Dancia's mediocrity is a welcome cover for her secret: whenever she sees a person threatening someone she cares about, things just...happen. Cars skid. Structures collapse. Usually someone gets hurt. So Dancia does everything possible to avoid getting close to anyone, belieiving this way she can supress her powers and keep them hidden.

But when recruiters from the prestigious Delcroix Academy show up in her living room to offer her a full scholarship, Dancia's days of living under the radar may be over. The Ivy by Lauren Kunze & Rina Onur (8/31)

When Callie arrives for her freshman year at Harvard, she encounters her three vastly different roommates, new friendships, steamy romance, and scandalous secrets.

Confessions Of The Sullivan Sisters by Natalie Standiford (9/1)

The Sullivan sisters have a big problem. On Christmas Day their rich and imperious grandmother gathers the family and announces that she will soon die . . .and has cut the entire family out of her will. Since she is the source of almost all their income, this means they will soon be penniless.

Someone in the family has offended her deeply. If that person comes forward with a confession of her (or his) crime, submitted in writing to her lawyer by New Year's Day, she will reinstate the family in her will. Or at least consider it.

Spy Glass (Glass, #3) by Maria V. Snyder (9/1)

Hitting the Shelves Soon!!!

Now that April is wrapping up, everyone (including me) is getting super excited for the new releases we've been anxiously awaiting to hit the shelves in May, but most readers already have their lists of what they're hopping to snag in May ready and raring to go.  What readers might not have is a list of what's coming out in June, so I wanted to share a few June releases that I can't wait to get my hands on!

Here's my top five June releases:

Don't these just sound great?  I can't wait...they've been on my TBR list for so long and June always felt like it was so far away but it's been creeping up on me and hopefully will be here before I know it!

The cover of Becca Fitzpatrick's Crescendo has been revealed!

Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. I'm so excited for this book to come out so I can see what happens next in Nora's story and the cover reveal has only amped up my excitement!

Sneak Peek

I'm a few days late in finding this sneak peek but better late than never.  If you've got Glimmerglass by Jenna Black on your TBR list and will be rushing to the stores to buy your copy when it comes out on May 25, 2010 (I know I will) than you might wanna jump over to Jenna's page and check out the prologue and first chapter that she's posted.  Hopefully this will tide you over while you're waiting for the release.   Now that I know I've apparently missed a couple of new reveals like this one, I'll be searching the internet's sources to see if anything else is out there....stay tuned!

I'm with Borges on this one....I went home to visit the family this weekend for the holiday and couldn't resist making not one but two trips to their local B&N because I apparently didn't get my fill the first trip.  Their B&N is not quite as big as the one by me, but I'm always interested in the book displays and which books the workers are recommending at the time.  I added a few to my collection but am still wishing the countdown would move a little faster for some of the books I'm waiting for.  Here are two that are coming out soon, but of course never soon enough!

I had company come in this weekend and I was teased mercilessly on how my apartment and more specifically my room is filled with wall to wall books....what can I say?  I love to read and I'm not gonna apologize for it, lol.  I know I'm not the only one out there who feels the same way which is why I also know that I'm not the only other avid reader anxiously awaiting the seventh book in P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast's House of Night series, Burned!

And boy do I need a vacation today....it's been raining non-stop here and it doesn't look like the end of it is coming any time soon.  I can't stand rainy days like today for two reasons...one being the obvious ick! factor that this weather brings with it and two being the fact that there's nothing better to do on a day with weather as rainy as this than to curl up with a good book and forget all about the awful weather, when instead I'm stuck at work, boo!

On a brighter note there are some great books coming out soon and I just can't wait!  Tomorrow the long awaited Brightly Woven by Alexandra Bracken hits the shelves and the beautiful cover alone will have you rushing to the bookstores to get your own copy.
